Q1 How do I lock the screen and safely unlock it?

After importing and framing your image, tap the orange "🔒 Lock" button in the top toolbar. The interface enters full-screen lock and stays awake with maximum brightness.
To unlock: Long-press the button at top-right for 2 seconds until the animated countdown ring completes to unlock and restore tools.

Q2 What paper is recommended for tracing?
垫纸描摹有什么推荐纸张与技巧？
Standard 70g or 80g A4 copy/printer paper, lightweight sketch paper, tracing paper, or vellum works great.
Because TraceLock boosts screen brightness to the maximum in lock mode, normal paper will clearly show lines underneath in typical room lighting.

推荐使用普通的 70g 或 80g A4 复印打印纸、薄素描纸、拷贝纸或硫酸纸。

Q3 How to extract clear lines from busy or dark photos?
照片太黑、背景太花，怎么转成清晰线稿？
Use the "Sketch" or "Outline" filter in the bottom bar:
• "Sketch": Ideal for portraits, landscapes, and photos with rich shading, yielding pencil-like textures.
• "Outline": Best for anime, cartoons, and object contours, eliminating gradients and keeping clean outlines.
Tap the active filter to reveal the vertical purple slider on the right to fine-tune line weight and sensitivity in real time!

Q4 Will my drawing state be preserved if I switch apps?

Yes! TraceLock features full session state persistence. Even if you switch to other apps or the OS clears the background process, reopening TraceLock restores your image, zoom/pan transform, and filter settings seamlessly.

Q5 Does TraceLock require internet access or in-app purchases?

Importing, filtering, and tracing happen on-device and never upload your photos. An App Store connection is needed to load the localized price, buy the lifetime unlock, or restore a purchase. Every feature is free for 3 days; afterward, an optional one-time lifetime purchase is available (US base price: $3.99; the App Store displays your local price). There is no subscription and no advertising.
